Amanda Nneoma Uzoagba is an Entertainment Lawyer, Award-Winning Author, Entertainment Business Executive/Consultant, Public Speaker, and Legal Educator. She holds a law degree (LL. B) from the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) and was called to the bar in 2017. She is currently the Head of Licensing, West Africa at Mdundo.com A/S, a pan-African music streaming company where she oversees licensing operations within West Africa, particularly Ghana and Nigeria.
Amanda has facilitated many events, conferences, and webinars targeted at educating and enlightening entertainers, entrepreneurs, and creatives, on the protection of their intellectual property rights, and creative works. She has more than eight years of experience in the Entertainment Industry, starting as a blogger and PR consultant for Record Labels before she was called to the Nigerian Bar.
As an Entertainment Business Executive, she has facilitated and negotiated over $5 million in transactions involving catalog sales, endorsement deals, branding, licensing, distribution, publishing deals, split sheets, recording deals, live events, and so on for an array of artists, record labels and investors as well as helping them navigate the complex legal landscape of the music business. She has also worked on more than forty-five productions exhibited in theatres, film festivals, and on international streaming platforms. She has worked on a variety of co-production, development, and production deals with international studios such as Netflix, Sony
Pictures, BBC, Westbrook, AMC, Amazon Prime, Green Door Productions etc.
In 2019, Amanda launched her consultancy firm called Goldwhisk Consult, a boutique consulting firm that focuses on the Entertainment and Creative Business providing a range of services related to the legal and business aspects of the entertainment industry. Her diverse background and extensive experience make her a prominent figure in the intersection of law and the entertainment industry in Nigeria and across the world.
